In reading the bible it is not only to read it but you must understand and realize, examine yourself whether you have understood clearly because most of the words in the bible are not to be translated literally but speritually. There are many parables in it and examples and not on the direct sense.

Ask the help of God to help you understand it.

When i was first saved i couldn't put it down, it was so alive to me...for years i just had such a desire to know more about Jesus and all the interesting people who had a close relationship with God..over the years I've bought around 8 different versions and used to look up a passage in all of them to see if i could get a better picture..i like the amplified because of the Greek and Hebrew meanings..then came the time to stop reading and just live it..there's a time to read it and a time to just walk with The Lord...
Be Blessed..

Edit: some Christians will say you must always be reading the Bible..i disagree..were all different..listen to your heart..x

When I was Christian, I read the Bible when I was guilty. One passage, then another, and it made it worse. I have gay friends, I almost fought with them one morning. Then I realized that Christianity can't be right. I became Pagan, but I still belive. Yet again I belive in a lot, mostly all, of the relgions around the world. Just no the Bible.

I read it every day, usually several times a day, and I have for many years. When I found the love of God in Jesus Christ everything else seems boring by comparison. I love the Word of God, because every time I read it, I understand it in the context of God's love for me in His Son.

I read, study, and obey it daily. I feel it is an important part of my life. I also pray and thank our FATHER for the many gifts that HE has given me. We are so fortunate! Have a great weekend.
Thanks,

I read it only to point out sciptures to people. To show them that they're religion is logically and morally wrong.
