Biblically not acceptable

ICor 6:9-10

I think it is an abomination and a travesty of the highest degree. How can anyone who openly practices such immoral acts think they can lead a Church in the ways of Christ? Now, I am not by any means justifying what other heterosexuals do which is in complete violation of God's word, either. I am also by no means advocating prejudism and hatred against homosexuals. I AM saying that church leaders should emulate and be role models of Christ's teachings and commands. I AM saying that a person which is intent on practicing immorality to the degree of homoesexuality does not have a place in instructing and leading people in the ways of morality.

We all struggle with certain sins, even the great Christian heroes of the Bible. It would be one thing for someone to have homosexual tendencies, realize that it would be against God's word to act on those urges, to fully submit those wrong desires to God, and resolve to remain celibate through God's power.

But it's another thing entirely for a Church leader to indulge in a homosexual lifestyle (or any ongoing, sinful lifestyle for that matter) and expect to lead a congregation when they are openly defying God's commandments. How in the world can they lead others in the truth when they are blinded to their own defiant and continuing sin? It is hypocrisy to the extreme!

So, just as I would never attend a church where the pastor is heterosexual but indulges in a promiscuous lifestyle, I would never attend a church where the leader is a practicing homosexual.

Honestly? That their lifestyle is an abomination to the Lord (it says so in the Bible) and they should not be allowed to be church leaders.

I do not have anything against gay people personally. But I would not feel right attending that kind of church.

They have gay church leaders. It is usually in a Unitarian Church or free thinkers ethical society.

The Christian faith as taught by the Bible is against Homosexuality.

If a Christian follows the Bible wholly then the act of homosexuality is not approved of nor supported in any way, but the person and their soul is loved, because Jesus died for ALL of us.

Romans 1:26-27 says, "Because they do this. God has given them over to shemful passions. Even the women pervert the natural use of their sex by unnatural acts. In the same way the men give up natural sexual relations with women and burn with passion for each other..."

Feel so sad about them, but God whats all of them to come into repentance. Still, let's love and pray for them, for the Bible says we should love one another.

It would be best to separate homosexual preferrence from homosexual actions - there would be no problem with a gay church leader, as in a heterosexual one, both are supposed to act according to their religious principles and foundations.

Any church that excepts this is not Christian. Any true born again bible believing Christians will not tolerate this at all, as it is against the word of God.

I support gay ministers but I do question Jim McGreevey, there is a lot of controversy around him. Yes we should all be forgiving but show me where we are supposed to automatically trust everyone.
