for the next few mondays im going to babysit my neighbors kids, ages 3,3 and 5. the 3 and 5 yearolds are girls, and the other 3 yearold is a boy. i need activities to keep the kids busy for 2 1/2 hours while their mother is at a church group thing. ive already taken all the classes, but im coming up blank with new activities to keep them busy. something like hand games or something not messy that we could do on a carpeted area without too much noise. sharing is an issue for these kids, the little boy screams alot when something is taken away from him.
the kids like hide and seek but its been getting sort of old.

You can bring a coloring book along with crayons or help them do noodle necklaces(with yarn and Penna pasta)Play dough will keep children entertained forever(especially if you give them some tools such as cookie cutters or a spoon) and you can put a towel down to save the carpet. The hokey poky is always a big hit for that age group, duck duck goose or London bridge is falling down. If you can go to the library and check out books that they are not familiar with that may keep there attention(for a short time!)Maybe just rolling a ball back and forth or let them take turns throwing a ball into a laundry basket. My kids loved sock puppets nothing fancy just a couple old socks and a marker for drawing on it.Maybe you can offer them a reward for good behavior and sharing.
...........I'm trying to think of more but it seems like its been forever since mine were that age!
Good luck!

Use a slim olive jar as a microphone and do karaoke of their favorite songs. If they don't know all the words, invite them to make up some.
Can you do arts projects? Tearing and pasting construction paper and pictures from old magazines can take up hours and hours of time for kids this age; they don't have to worry about staying 'within the lines' or any other requirements.

i used to babysit my neighbors kids .. they were 2 and 9. sometimes they were just HORRIBLE and sometimes i would love to babysit them lol. but anyways, i would basically let them choose what they wanted to do. if you make them do something, they will probably just act up. but, i would suggest things to them and ask them if they wanted to do this or that. but as far as activities ... watching movies, drawing pictures and cards for their mom, going outside and playing with sidewalk chalk ... im drawing a blank too! ill edit if i think of more things we used to do ... but most of the time, we would just in the living room and play with toys! good luck!!!

play outside--freeze tag, red light green light, etc. read, color, dance (freeze dance is great too)...make sock or paper bag puppets, make a simple list and go on a scavenger hunt...there are tons of things you can do. think about what you liked to do when you were little!

coloringpages.com.....you can download all kinds of fun things to color and then cut into "puzzles"...my group loves them. try a really good movie(anything by Disney) with popcorn or dry cereal.

if you are able to take them outside... RUN, RUN, RUN. kids love to run and they tire fairly quickly. Make them exercise and they'll sleep like babies. Their mother will love you
