"Poder" - could be the verb "to be able to" or could be the noun "power"

"Volver" - verb "to return" or "to come back"

Of course there are some fixed expressions with "volver" which could slightly nuance the translation...so check out http://www.wordreference.com. (this is a great online dictionary with a forum that connects you to native speakers of Spanish, French, Italian, and Portuguese...avoid online translators like the plague...trust me)
