In Christianity .... The Bible shows that God's purposes for our lives had been established from the beginning. In essence its like God saying, "Before you ever came forth out of the womb I had set you apart for the purpose and the plan that I have for your lives." The thing is, of course is to discover and to come into harmony with that plan that God has for us ...

Yes.

"For You created my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from You when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, Your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in Your book before one of them came to be" (Psalm 139:13-16).

" The word of the LORD came to me, saying, "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations" (Jeremiah 1:4-5)

Yes . I believe it is there from the moment the sperm and egg sprout. It is in my opinion at the center of the DNA make up of every living thing in our universe. Which means of course, it is inside of you and me. I also believe that one day science will find it.
The evidence of life explains how it got there. In order for life to form it is one of the many necessary ingredients. It is formed by a combination of some of these other ingredients.
Until they find it. It is still possible to awaken it. Also you do not have to believe in God in order to do that.

I'm pretty sure spirits are placed at the same time as your soul: when you're in your mother's womb. all I know is that your spirit returns to God eventually and you know where your soul goes...
