I'm 16 and I want to lose weight, I have a BMI of 29 (idk if that's good or not but the machine said I was at risk of being overweight). I want a good eating plan and work out plan to help lose weight and get fit for summer... anyone out there know how to help?

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried - no junk food.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself with a little treat once in a while:)

ME!!! I KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU ARE TALKIN BOUT. I CAN HELP. i am also 16 and recently lost 30 pounds...but i still have more to lose. my bmi is 26. try working out 5 to 6 times a week for at least 45 minutes. also this is the cool part. eat 5 times a day. Really! but not fattening foods. for example you HAVE TO HAVE TO eat breakfast in order to lose weight faster and better. so eat breakfast, then 3 hours later eat a snack, a small one, like an apple and a handful of peanuts, then 3 hours later eat lunch, not too much though, a medium size salad with a Small piece of chicken and water would be good, then again 3 hours later a small snack, try a piece of cheese and water, then eat dinner, same amount as lunch. trust me it will work! try to drink a lot of water!!! who cares if you have to pee all the time, you should see me at school, everyone callas me the water girl. and one day a week go ahead and cheat, eat whatever you want, just don't over do it. i try to do the 5 meals a day but don't have time, so i do 3, it works slower to do 3, 5 works much better. and if you are still hungry, chug down some water, you will feel full. i know what i am talking about. i go to the gym everyday and the trainers are always talking about this.

Losing is good excess of it is bad. You want to gradually lose the weight and maintain it, this is key!!! I would personally reccomend the toxin-free pea-based protein shakes to supplement for breakfast or another meal. It keeps you full suppresses the appetite and the protein gives you energy.
I personally drink this every morning for breakfast. Liquid is key, keeps you full and tricks your stomach while cutting out a load of calories.
