find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried - no junk food.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself with a little treat once in a while:)

How exciting for you! Congratulations on wanting to better your life. My advice is to focus on what is healthy and what is good for you. This sounds silly, but when I was bigger and went out with friends--I felt proud of myself when I would eat healthy. I would look at all the people around me eating tons of junk and think "thank God I don't do that any more" and it really helped.

As far as working out advice-don't take on too much too fast. (You will burn yourself out quickly.) Instead, begin where you feel comfortable simply to establish a routine of exercise. (For me--if I overdid it day 1, I would not go back the next day.) But go slowly for about a week and gradually add whatever it is you like to do to burn calories.

Also, light weight lifting raises your metabolism and helps you lose weight quicker. Visit some sites to give you tips on weight lifting so you will be a lean, mean, fat burning machine.

Finally, have fun this summer since you are young and on your way to high school. Get your nails done, spend time with your friends and remember, it is about feeling good about yourself so do a bit of what makes you happy!!!
