Just curious as to how accurately they can count the number of calories expended, thanks

they are not accurate at all and thats why you count time NOT calories.

The calorie reading at the gym are fairly accurate if you enter in your weight and age. The machine uses this information along with the speed and time you run to approximate how much energy you burn. If you don' enter this information, the machine will display the expenditure for a person 5'11 and 200lbs. In general, most machines are accurate within 3 or 4 calories.

if the gadget tells you the mets of your exercising, then that section is precise. take weight in kg situations via mets e.g fifty 5*10 = 550. to verify how many energy are burnt in a million hour of the exercising then divide for this reason to verify energy burnt in accordance with how long you exercised for
