This site is for religion and spirituality. If atheists are not religious nor spiritual. Why are you guys hanging around here? There is a mythology and folklore section you can hang out at to express your opinion on myths and such. Are you all in denial that you must continue to question religion?

Even though I'm an atheist, I think the history of religion (namely, the suppression of the lower class) is interesting.

There's no rule that says people who ask questions here must be religious. Frankly, I get tired of some people feeling that this is a Christian-only or religion-only club of some kind.

(Also, to play devil's advocate, why do you feel they'd be any more at home in the mythology section than they are here?)

Who said they are many atheists on this site? Because they bother you by asking questions you cannot answer and you have to dig in your books and research all websites so you can put a 20 pages of quotations, for which you do not understand the meaning anyway.
So now, you lost 5 points by asking a question and I got 2 by answering you.

The religion and spirituality is for discussing religion and spirituality. It is free to everyone, theists and atheists alike. It's nothing to do with denial, just an interest in the subject.

OOH, hark at her!
LOL!
This question is ALSO posted in the general section, so when some nutter calls out, "why are there so many Atheists at this site"?
We have a look!
Of course we ignore the infantile punctuation and grammar.
Also Yahoo questions is open to EVERYONE, so everyone and ANYONE can answer.

I personally come here looking for a logical argument for the existence of God. No one has been able to provide it for me yet, so you're right, and I'm out of here to go play some Soul Calibur II, as it's probably a better way to spend my time.

Religion=mythology and most of the non-believers that I know are much more spiritual and tuned in with others than most of the strongly devout adherents of religion that I have met.

The R&S section is part of the Society & Culture section. I am particularly interested in how religion is impacting the society & culture I live in.

Why are you so unwilling to interact with us?

atheism is about spirituality. and lack of religion is still a 'religion'. why would you put them in folklore if they make valid claims?

i'm not an atheist and may be completely wrong, but that's my opinion..

no, this isn't "for religion"
it's a Q and A site, an open forum, and religion and spirituality is one of many topics of discussion.

and not all spirituality is theistic.
