Who buys the junk food? you or mum, if mum, ask her to stop buying it, if it is you, just make a mental picture of how you look and how you would like to look.
Keep healthy snacks at home, chew gum and drink lots of plain water, that will help you. Swimming is a great excersice to keep fit, and the best for shape your body.
There are some ideas to stop eating out of boredom:
1) Get into the phone, (you can not talk and eat)
2) Get yourself busy with some craft, drawing, painting (something to keep your mind busy, at the end you have achieved something)
3) Avoid TV or comercial TV the ads just make you craving of junk food
4) This is called "humanitarian diet", if you are going to eat out of boredom, think in all the people in the world who are starving, (so you don't eat) then put a coin in a jar, at the end of the week give that money to a charity, is a win win situation.

I had the same problem. Until I finally figured something out.

Excercise videos. I walk 2 miles a day using Leslie Sansone's 2 Mile Walk Video. It's a great workout, and you can do it in the comfort of your own home. Do this everyday, or 6 days a week and you will most defanitely see results! The best thing is that you can use the videos but still do it at your own pace. You don't have to buy Leslie's videos however, any excercise video will do the trick. Alot of stores have them, check 'em out.

You could also try the treadmill if you happen to have one.

I wish you the best of luck! Losing weight is hard, but I've already lost 12 pounds, and so can you!

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried - no junk food.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself with a little treat once in a while:)
