I am a born again Christian myself, but I am a little confused. God wants us to be happy, but will he only give us what we need, and not what we want? Even if I worked hard for it, but I don't need it, but I pray everyday and ask in faith, will he give it to me, even if it is not a necessity? I know you will say it depends on what it is, so I am talking about meeting someone. This someone I am talking about is an anime (cartoon) character on tv. I truly love him.

You must pray really, REALLY hard...every day...every hour...every minute....seek god and he will give you what you desire...and never mind those people saying you can't meet a cartoon...with god anything is possible.....

You can devoutly pray every day for something specific and the answer may still be no.
If you're that deeply in love with an anime character, my darling you really need to get out more.
I've seen this a lot lately in young people. Cartoon characters, a character in a movie - not even the real actor but the character.
It's kind of sad that we've become so media oriented that real people aren't what we're looking for.
If you can, go to some anime conventions. Find a nice like minded young man. God bless!

Wow, Sometimes our wants do not always fit in with Gods plans for us, God is the only One that knows what fits into our lives, we all want alot of things, but we must also realize that God gives us what we need, there may be something along the line further on, that might be something more worth praying for, mainly The Holy Kingdom, should always be in our prayers, and thanking God for sending Jesus Christ to forgive us of our sins, because without The Lord, We would all be desolate with evil and destroyed, and could not be saved, to join God.

Meeting an anime character is not going to be possible, I'm afraid, simply because they don't exist in the confines of ordinary reality.
What you could do is to ask God to send you someone who meets your needs and will help you in your Christian walk. It might be that God will bring someone into your life who reminds you of the character who's facinating you, or it might be someone completely different.
Don't close your mind to all the possibilities. God's not apt to bring an anime character to life for you, but He will provide for your emotional needs in the way that He thinks is best.

You don't really understand the concept of being born again. When you become born again you lose touch with your wants and desires and focus your attention on God, His Word and His business. In turn God places the desires in your heart that will help you most to have a abundant life.
We have been bought with a price, we are not our own, we are to make ourselves content in what ever state we are in. And if we want God's help we are to live in joy,That is the only atmosphere God can work in. We are to pick up our cross daily and deny ourselves which means even if we feel we have a right to get angry we deny ourselves because Vengeance is mine saith the Lord. We are not to give place to anger, it is satan weapon to get us to do things that create strife and regrets and all other negative things satan can get us to operate in.Take care and may God bless you spiritually.

sweet heart every thing that is good to you is not good for you. no God will not give you every thing you pray for because he knows what is best for us. you meeting this character just might mess you up. now take your head out of the sand and remember that you are talking about a cartoon character. what he might do is allow you to meet the person behind the character, the one who pretends to be that character, this way you just might have your hearts desire. good luck with this one, this is one for the record books. your question to God is wrong. You are asking to meet someone (which is a falsity). God will not answer a lie!
The character is someone elses definition of a someone.
(being a born again christian is full of un- answerable questions since there is little truth to it and lotsof fairytales!).
You are better off to pray to learn the truth! It will be far more rewarding

God will only give us what we need. When we pray we don't always get what we ask for or think we want- we get what we need.
Heck- if you want to meet an animated character find out what theme park he/she is at. Maybe even sew/buy a costume and have your S.O. dress up as it. think outside the box- you obviously have the knack for that.

You have all ready asked this. I will say the same thing. It depends on if you are fated to have it or not. You can't love a cartoon character. They aren't real people. So no, you will never meet them. You might meet the voice actor - if you are supposed to.
