I am 16 and I feel like life is totally pointless...
I know there is something wrong with me and I tell my parents that everyday.
I dont go to school bcuz all I ever do is sleep. I hate facing people. I self injure. I am overweight and part of the reason of sleeping all day is so I won't eat, but when I do eat I sometimes make my self throw up. No one seems to care that I am struggling this much with life.
I have tried to get help from people and it doesnt seem to work...
I dont know what to do. What should I do?

I WAS seeing a doctor, he wasn't doing anything so I stopped going.
Then the same thing happened again.

I'm sorry you feel this way. There are many options available to repair your body, heal depression, and help you to lose weight in a healthy way. You need to eat healthy meals, three times a day- it will heal your depression and help you to overcome your problems, one at a time.

There are non profit org like Girls Inc and the boys and girls clubs that are free and local and ready to help you. Utilize the sources. Dont give up just cuz others have. Turn that negative energy and create something positive. You have control. You may not feel like it but you do. There are far higher issues than yours..think about that. You eat, but arent starving. Your parents arent supporting you but you have both of them there. They let you do what you want apparently cuz I know my child would have no say in wheater or not they will be going to school or sleeping. Think about it. Take up a hobby that will motivate you and get you going again. Or find good friends. When I was over weight and depressed I threw on my jogging shoes, strapped some headphones on and jogged to new places cuz it felt like I was leaving it all behind for just that time. But I was getting excersize and Venting.

PLEASE READ: I want you to print this and keep it close by. You my sweet young girl have an "identity crisis". Hiding at home will only worsen the internal upheavals. You must force yourself back to school. Change schools if you must, but you Must become active in your age group and society. The longer you hide, the harder the emotional problems will increase. I want you to Google this and go to you "eating disorders" - if you have tried to get help and it didn't work, you must do it again! NOW! Your weight problem is being exacerbated by your irregular sleeping pattern. Eating at night upsets the normal bodily functions of both your immune systems and your brain pattern. You could already be having "visual" problems. You must seek help from a "trusted" family member. An Aunt or Uncle, your Grand parents, someone who holds your close in their hearts. Help is there, You must find it. Now get up in the morning, eat a nice breakfast, think about school, go up and clean your room, get your clothes together, and you know what else to do. Now Do It!! Now go to Google and grow a brain, read! Speak to your Priest/Minister for support. Now Print this and keep it close by and read it often, I have "faith" in you, you are Woman, you are Strong.

You know what to do. You need to get help. Go to school and talk to the school nurse or counselor. If that doesn't work, look in the Yellow Pages for a free mental health clinic and go. They will talk to you even if your parents refuse to help you or pay for it (they may not have insurance that covers it). If there is nothing in your area or accessible to you, talk to your regular doctor and get a referral. Keep looking for the right person. It sometimes takes a while.

sometimes not all Dr.'s are awesome- you just go and see someone else until yhou find someone you can click with. Lots of people have these problems--its not that rare and you will be able to find someone to help. PLUS, You have GOT to give it some time. The Dr. can't help you fix your life over night. They got to get to know you a little better- see whats causing you to do this. When you are depressed you sleep.....A LOT (I know) But you have got to go to school otherwise you will be more depressed that you are falling behind (happened to me my senior year) and school will help you get something to do. Go, see a regular dr. and if your parents aren't helping you.....go tell them to shove it- you know that something isn't right--you can fix it too,! They are probably ignoring it cause they don't want to "deal" with it- don't want to see its there. You can talk to your school counseler- they probably noticed your not showing up and can help you out school wise and maybe find you a Dr.
ok- you may not be suicidal but you are depressed- these people can help you out....

Get a referral from your doctor to a therapist specialising in eating disorders. See the sections on depression & self injury at http://www.ezy-build.net.nz/~shaneris on pages 2 & 5, and bulemia at http://familydoctor.org/common.xml and Google it and use your search engine.

girl i was you when i was 15, you have to go to school, trust me i didnt either, people used to tease me and so i just homescoholed, but i didnt do the work....i never self injurded though. the next year, i went to a private school, made a couple friends and thats what modtivated me to lose the weight. trust me, you will. jus get out there! have some fun, we're still kids, you need to just go!! TRUST ME.

I agree call the doctor yourself. It sounds like you might need antidepressant medication.
