I need to lose some weight, and my friend told me to just throw up my food after I eat for a while, and that I should lose weight. Except, I have tried this, and it doesn't really work. She tells me to "tickle" my throat with the end of a toothbrush, and that it should then work.
Is there a "secret" or a "method" to this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What you don't realize is what happens when you repeatedly throw up.
You will cause problems with your esophagus, your teeth will get damage from the stomach acid and also it will cause a lot of other health problems.
Try something else, but don't purge!! Better to lose weight by watching what you eat.
Your friend will regret doing this within a few months, and in a few months, you will see why you will be glad you didn't do this.
EDIT: SInce you know this is bad for you, why would you be foolish enough to do this???? People end up in the hospital from doing this!!!

So, if you know it's bad for you, why are you doing it? What's wrong with simply eating less? Or even exercising?
No, there's no trick to it...tickling the back of your throat should trigger your gag reflex. If it's not working, perhaps that's a sign that you should try another method.

My daughter was anorexic and bulimic for several years. She obviously had the secret of " how to" down pat. She didn't count on her teeth rotting from the acid being brought up from her stomach and destroying her teeth. She didn't count on her hair loss, her chipmunk cheeks, oh and she can't conceive.
Why don't you try a little self control instead of self destruction. It's much prettier.

if loosing weight is that important to you then do it the right way with diet and fitness...that way you live to show off your better looking body...if you start getting into bulimia, you're no better than those morons who smoke (which also kills, by the way)
