Assuming the nodes appeared within the past few days, they are probably a reaction to a virus infection. A strep throat or other bacterial infection of the throat is another possibility. A sore or an insect bite on the face or on the ear or even the scalp could cause this. Infectious mono is usually accompanied with low grade fever (sometimes very high fever), fatigue and malaise. Rarely, large nodes are caused by atypical mycobacteria, relatives of tuberculosis, possibly transmitted by birds.
Enlarged nodes are often accompanied by mild discomfort. It is usually safe to watch and wait for a period of two weeks when they resolve. If they continue to enlarge, become more painful, or are red and swollen, or associated with persistent fever, seek medical attention.
Although the risk of enlarged nodes being a sign of cancer is small, you should see a physician if they persist or become more numerous, hard and fixed.

jointly as Magz's answer is sort and correctly-meant, i could strongly propose you to stay faraway from maximum cancers help communities and cyber web content, etc until eventually an actually actual existence wellbeing care expert has clinically determined you with maximum cancers. at recent, all you have is a swollen lymph node, which seems to have replied to antibiotics, subsequently strongly suggesting that it relatively is swollen as a reaction to an infection. Spending it sluggish on line with the main cancers survivors community won't do you any stable in any respect. you particularly much actually don't have maximum cancers. those sites will fill your head with thoughts of treatment, indicators, part consequences etc that are of little need to you and could merely reason you added stress. you're nerve-racking some difficulty which you haven't any longer have been given, and ignoring the difficulty which you do have - your weight. it is an actually, actual difficulty which you somewhat have already got, and that relatively will influence your wellbeing. get faraway from the computing gadget and decide for a walk.

It means your immune system is working. You probably picked up a virus, and the macrophage in your lymph nodes are phagocytizing them, but it needs extra fluid to do it's job correctly (causing inflammation). If you start to get a high fever call your doctor (102 or more) but otherwise, you should be fine.

Are they painful or tender? Can you move them beneath your skin? If they are painful/tender and became swollen over a period of a couple days, it is probably an infection. If they are slow, fixed or painless it could indicate a more serious condition. No one can tell for sure from the information you gave.
