Do you think it has to do with the Pain killer? It probally has nothing to do with it right? I may of felt A little Crappy before I took the percocet too, but all I remember was that I was fine when I was on it. What do you think?

Nope. Percocet has a lot of potential side effects, but that's not one of them.

You most likely have a viral infection, although strep throat should be ruled out.

Although the symptoms occurred after you took the pill, there is no reason to believe that there was a causative effect.

Hope you feel better soon.

I do not think it has something to do with it. You already got the infection when you took percocet but the symptoms were not yet so obvious as it was just setting in. The bacteria causing the infection undergoes different stages while your immune system tries to fight against the invading organism and it takes few days to show you got an infection (sore throat and fever). The fact that you took the percocet signals that there was something wrong in your body though you seem to be fine. Drink lots of warm fluids, andtake care!

I doubt it that its from the percocet. Percocet contains tylenol as well. It does have some side effects but a sore throat is not one of them. You could however be allergic to one of the componenets of the medication. How high was your fever? Do you have any swollen/tender lymph nodes?
