Great Danes are originally from Germany, so a German name would be very fitting. I like Panzer, which is German for "tank".
Resist naming it Scooby or Marmaduke. People will call the Dane that anyway, no matter what it's name is.

well you didnt say if its a boy or a girl so i will give you ideas for both boys names --- rocky it sounds tough or dancer it sounds graceful or skipper it sounds playful ok girls names daisy it sounds cute paula it sounds like a reasonable name for a big dog or bobbie for my husbands lying ex wife.good look.
