I think this is a very good question, I dont know if it was ment in jest or if it was really a thought out question but I like it.

I am a Christian Minister and I am Gay. I believe that Jesus would speak out for gay rights if he were here physically on the earth today, but since Christians (and by the term Christians, I mean Christ-like people, I DO NOT MEAN right wing fundemantalist no-brain morons) are his spokespeople and it is our job to speak out for Justice and for the rights of EVERY humanbeing.

Christianity would have the following groups delineated:

1 - Those that believe that this being who appeared in not really Jesus. They might call him a demon, or a false prophet, or a warlock, or something else, but not the son of that god-thing.

2 - Those that changed their mind. This could be for several reasons:
2a - Now that Jesus is back, the way of living according to the New Testament is invalid; we've entered a new era.
2b - So what if there's a contradiction between Jesus and the Bible? A supposed contradiction is something that people can't understand (possibly in principal, possibly just don't understand *yet*).
2c - Some would decide that maybe the Bible wasn't anti-gay after all. Either they never thought about the issue, or Jesus would explain something in a way that these individuals never thought of before.

3 - Those that already believed that the Bible is not anti-homosexual. The groups are out there, and they would simply feel that they were right all along.

The fact is that Jesus and his moral law is the same forever.

Heb 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

The Bible only mentions homosexual behavior a number of times, but always with clear and ominous disapproval. On the other hand, the Bible only shows blessing on the heterosexual union of marriage. Jesus Christ himself pointed back to creation and stated; “Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?”

I am sure when Christ comes back he's going to be speaking on behalf of a lot of "underdogs."
How do you know their behavior isn't a test of Gods to see just who the true Christians are?
Christ wouldn't want us to hate them just because they are homosexual.
Christ even stepped up in the defense of an adulterous woman in the Bible when it clearly said in the laws that she should be stoned.

Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell would labeled Jesus as a threat and call for evangelicals to rally against Jesus. I'm a Christian and I'm for gay rights, Jesus never said he was against homosexuality and he did say "love thy neighbor".

Not only that - I believe he'd probably give the finger waggle to Christian fundies who believe women have a subservient place in society. After all, Jesus preached equality among genders as well.

Wow!! Can you imagine the Christian Fundamentalists!?!?! I think they would riot and run around like chickens with their heads cut off!! How exciting! I know Jesus loves me. I am a proud gay male. He would of course speak for me too.

first of all theres nothing wrong with being gay. Jesus never said there was nething wrong with being gay but with homosexual practices like homosexual sex and marriage and gay lust and all that. so we wouldnt have to change our beliefs because we believe whats in the Bible and that's what the Bible says..to love everyone and to love your enemies also.

Gays will get equal civil rights with or without Jesus.
To the answerer above... it is not hellish being gay it's great and if anyone treated me like I had leprosy they would regret it pretty quick.
