Christ spoke of hell as being like a furnace. He also spoke of heaven as being a place where many mansions exist or are built for believers. Sort of like a Ronald McDonald house, I guess. Maybe a bed and breakfast?

*** Is Heaven a real, physical place in the universe? Is Hell? Is there a scriptural basis for either? Any thoughts on this? ***

Doubt is present whenever the actual physical existence of heaven and hell are considered. Yes, there is scriptural basis for this, such as it is. Such things are probably symbolic.

Witness a few examples:

The Bible Deuteronomy 10:13-14
To keep the commandments of the LORD, and his statutes,
which I command thee this day for thy good? Behold, the heaven and the heaven of heavens is the Lord's thy God, the earth also, with all that therein is.

Revelation 20:14-15
And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Incomprehensible and unknowable for sure.
Heaven nor hell is something that can be proved for a fact to actually exist. We can only believe that such as a heaven or hell is a reality. That should not keep people from being decent though.

Have a pleasant day.

Since our physical being is staying behind, I doubt if heaven or hell are physical places.

Trusting in a scriptural basis for something is like wishing for wings when you have to fly out of town on a business trip.

Yes and yes. The church has never denied such doctrines. It has only come into question recently with secularists questioning the truthfullness of everything in Scripture.
