No country can fully control it's on people, sweetcheeks. That's also one of the selling points of the Good Ole' USA though anyway...fortunately for us we are NOT controlled by the state to as large a degree as most of the rest of the world.
And unfortunately we find ourselves involved in "policing the world" because very few of the other countries in the world will suck it up, grow a pair, and do it themselves or help us do it.
It's OH so much easier to sit back on one's **** and complain about someone trying to do something about world issues than to actually get off said **** and lend a hand.

I think you are wrong on both counts. The US does not police the world. The US government does control the people in the US. For example you have to go through a rigorous screening process before boarding an air plane. Try to rob a bank and see what happens. No government can prevent all crimes from happening all of the time.

Wow! Most people on here accuse the police of over-policing. We are accused of being so over zealous that we violate peoples rights in order to arrest them. We routinely violate the entire Constitution so that we can get off on putting people behind bars. Some even compare us with the Nazi Gestapo. Then you are saying that we are not policing our own people enough. We are so lax that Americans are "out of control". We've gone from one extreme to the other. But, it just goes to prove that no matter what we do; we can't please everyone. People will always find a reason to complain about the police. That is why I stopped paying attention to peoples complaints a long time ago.

Well Bush is controlling us. Look at how many of our civil liberties he has taken away. He wants to control the whole world. Of course all he is doing is making other countries hate us and breeding terrorists. He is not fighting terrorism, he is getting richer while our troops are dying for his ego.

Oh darlin, we are policed, kid yourself not. It is not an extravagant supposition of mine that probably 35% of our employed population is engaged in law enforcement in some capacity. Clerical, to armed enforcement. There are so many law enforcement offices and dept's that are undercover, the total number is probably not even known to those who should know. Its almost comical, because the watchers are being watched by the watched. etc etc etc. Either live an exemplary life, or trust no one.

Because for some reson the liberals feel we need to help everyone. Whether they are here or in another country. Yet they blast Bush for helping Iraq. Go figure.
