So I told her that if this is true that she need to tell someone, so while she was in the hospital she told her DR. this. Well when her parents went to pick her up the police was there waiting for her father, Then she told the police that it didn't happen and that I told her to say this (I didn't) So will I get into trouble? The only thing I told her was that if it did happen that she needed to tell someone and that she needed to make sure that it was the truth. I live in Indiana. This is a very serios matter and I do not want to go to jail.

No, it should go back down to the 11 yr old girl! Ask the Dr. or the nurse whoever called the police for her, you shouldn't be the one responsible for it!

Oh, from now on, try to have someone as a witness with you when you deal with problem like that.

i feel sorry for you !

It's not unusual for a child to change their story after they tell they've been abused. Rather it's true or not, they often change their mind right after they say it, and the police and Children Services know that. I'm sure once they talk to you and her as well, they're going to know you did nothing wrong. If she has been molested, a physical exam will hopefully answers their questions. Either way, there will be an investigation into this, but I don't think you need to worry.

well i dont think you will go to jail the police might just want to ask you a few questions. But this is going to cause problems between your family even with your niece. So dont be stressed out about going to jail its not going to happen. The only thing is your nieces parents mght not let her talk to you so the molestation might be a continous problem.

If a child told me something like that, I would report it to the police myself. If the child is lying they will figure it out. It sounds to me like the child has a problem and may need counseling. The child lied about you and may have lied about her father. You won't get into trouble. Stick to your guns. Encourage everyone to get some counseling for the child.

You need to check with your local authority's and find out what they say.But I don't think you will get into trouble for your niece telling a lie,If in fact she really was lying about what she told you. Some one needs to do a more in depth investigation before they make a decision one way or another. And before they ruin any ones lives.

If the 11 year old lied one way or another, then there is something bigger going on. She may be afraid of her Father, and that would prompt her to lie. If I were you, I would keep looking into it, as it will get worse for your niece.

omg that's terrible, i hate women persons who preserve their adult adult males over there infants. that's the main significant reason while my mom and dad divorce, my mom in no way delivered abode no different guy, who is conscious what you're bringing abode to their infants. if your nieces father is making an attempt to get custody then i'm hoping he gets her b/c your sister is lost reason. no remember what, combat, combat and communicate to your sister, or if she love that horrid guy plenty, then enable her ex take the youngster and everybody wins. If she does not have confidence her very own baby then what else can she do? have the guy take a lie detector try. attempt to persuade your sister to enable the youngster bypass, i be conscious of its gonna be difficult yet have confidence and proceed to combat together with her until she provides in. in case you do no longer have confidence her, she already ruined her courting together with her daughter b/c she taking the component of that guy. good luck to you.

u know, i actually think she was molested- she was probably just to scared to face her father...i suggest u let her keep getting molested since she decided to betray you like that..this is a serious matter..she shouldn't joke around with **** like this!!...just forget her..she'll totally regret it..tell her you did try and help and yes you did..you told her to go report it to someone then she comes with this **** that you made it up?...she needs to get slapped....

she doesn't appreciate the help you're giving her...just tell the family the whole story..if they don't believe you well im sure the police would...and you wouldn't get arrested they'd probably prevent from seeing that family again i think...

you know you did the right thing...so try and shrug it off....or move to another state lol..
