More and more often when using sites from which we draw significant materials, the answers site blocks them.
What is your take on this?
Are they deliberately trying to drive us away?

Calm down. This happens quite a bit when YA updates. The first time you experience it, it can be rather disconcerting. Go to the forum and ask about it there. I've heard that the YAT's frequent there more often than here.

Drop off the http:. That forces the user to type in the address themselves, and makes it their responsibility if there is malicious code on the site.

If people actually link through directly, it could lead to malicious code running on the end-user's pc. They don't want blame for allowing that possibility I think. Possibly it might even affect their site, I don't know enough about Web programming to know.

Possibly also they want people's opinions. All this referring back to websites is not as good as being able to summarise what those websites' argue.

No. They have been blocked for a good reason for me to accomplish that. I many times do no longer block everybody. I do exactly no longer answer their questions. blocking off is the final motel to poor e mail or solutions that are severe and pointless. Sandy :O)

I have experienced something similar. Two entire answers were deleted. When my sister re-posted one of the answers word for word minus the URL it was left untouched.

Yes I do wonder. I have noticed that, too. It will no longer let me put the LDS websites as sources. Weird.
