The Bible: The Christian, because inevitably it will be the "wrong" translation.

Turn the conversation to religion: The Christian, the moment he finds out about the other four.

Leave at finding out: The Christian... because the other four won't put up with the conversation being turned to religion. But it might not be 'leaving' as 'tossed out'.

*hrms* You people are kinda anti-social, aren't you? *ducks lest TTC smack him*

ok what r u and what are you going to be eating for dinner ...and are you trying to do anything like plan to discuss religion or what ... or is it just a gathering .. id say what r you eating

is this like the game clue or something

what will be the objects used to knock out each other

a bible, a head wrap, a high heel shoe, a goat head, and a flower

and in all honesty i think id rather be sitting next to the guy with the high heel....he's prably the one who would coment on the bible on the coffee table if there wernt any coasters around it would get all wet and messy from the drinks and why don't you have a pretty decorative cover on it ,
im not sure but he might make a coment on what the satanic is wearing too,
and the one that would get upset and leave would have to be the satanic because he'd think it was completely boring unless of course your going to be slaughtering a live animal for the dinner ... hmm

No one will be offended by the bible. Murray, the atheist, is too drunk to even notice it; Abdhul the Muslim is too polite; Connie the Christian thinks it's normal, and would only notice if there wasn't one; Philip the gay guy (who also happens to be Unitarian, which you failed to mention) has a bible on his coffee table too, along with a Koran and several books on Daoism; and Lord Rok the Satanist can't read.

You will be the first one to bring up religion, since you were the one who provocatively put the bible on your coffee table hoping someone would be offended.

None of them will leave upset, since they're all friends and you invited them. Lord Rok will be the first to leave though, since he has a 10 pm curfew from his Mom. Murray will be the last to leave, but that's because he'll pass out behind the sofa after drinking an entire hip flask of Grand Marnier, and you won't be able to wake him up.

It depends on the people and how mature and tolerant they are. Anyone who is a satanist though, I don't know. I like agnostics, but I think most people who say they are atheists are a little arrogant.
Sounds like it will be an interesting night. Just stay calm during the festivities.
You could always warn all of them and respectfully request that they keep the conversation away from religion unless they want to break off into pairs.

The Christian is your answer to all three. The Christian would be upset that a Bible was in as casual a place as a coffee table. The Christian would turn the conversation to religion in order to try to sniff out potential converts. When the Christian learned who the other four guests were, the Christian would leave because he/she would be unwilling to listen to other points of view.

The Satanist, Muslim, Gay and atheist would! The christian! All of them would get up and leave, because they don't like each other, except the Christian, which we all know is you, because , Hello, you say I am giving a dinner party!! Christian trouble maker! Next time you give a dinner party, either don't invite such a conterversial group, or leave the Bible in the nightstand!!!!!!!!

-the atheist is likely to avoid the Bible completely
-the Muslim probably will glance over at it a few times but say nothing
-the Christian may raise the topic if he/she doesn't know you're saved, otherwise not really talk on it unless it comes up
-the homosexual may avoid it or argue if it comes up
-the satanist may be confrontational

just assumptions, these may not NECCESSARILY happen. just what tends to happen around me. just serve low-sugar cookies (no gellatin 'cause of the muslim) and you should be fine.

the christian.

They will likely take the bible and start reading passages. even before that they will tell the gay to stop taking it in the *** and find jesus.

The muslim will then chime in and call everyone infidels.

The jew will hide in the corner crunching numbers on how much of his time the others are wasting.

The satanist will be busy in the bathroom cutting himself.

the athiest will defend the gay's right to exist and tell the bible thumper to not bring religion into this.

finally it will all blow over and as thier voices raise the muslim's wrist watch alarm will sound and....

wait he's not wearing a wrist watch.

KABOOM!

i think of the muslim would be indignant maximum regarding the bible because of the fact their venture is to transform everybody right into a muslim, i think of the atheist will turn the communique to faith because of the fact they combat to alter others perspectives (some thing them and christians have in uncomplicated), and that i think of the christian will bypass away while they understand the atiest won't consider them. (Satanists do no longer bypass around conversing approximately relgion and are in no way indignant to the bible, i be conscious of i'm one and a member of the Church of devil. additionally we are no longer disillusioned via others perspectives or comments so back we wouldnt care. Oh and to the fool who says we hate ALL christians guts, you're a gadget. We in basic terms hate people who deserve hate. no longer all christians do. i myself hate your narrow minded *** for that remark greater suitable than any decent christian on the earth that doesn't difficulty me because of the fact of my non secular perspectives.
