Its pretty common all over america. Churches, schools, day care,boy scouts.

It is only prominent in the Catholic Church. I think it is present there because their priests are required to remain celibate. They are forbidden from having sexual contact with women, so they have a lot of pent up sexual aggression. For some reason they choose to take it out on children.

One word: SIN. People are sinful. Even Christians. All the worlds problems can be traced to: SIN.
