Zoe, God would lie but Muhammad would not? this is the Muslim delema those followed Muhammad and left God.
God said a prophet must agree with him...Makes sense doesn't it? God sent his word through Moses that a prophet of God must be in agreement with God and the prophets did God lie?

God doesnt literally say His words were changed. He says the message was distorted or lost.

Even Christians themselves believe this happened.

Because non catholics dont agree with catholics, and catholics dont agree with protestants. and they ALL assume, the other ones corrupted the religion.

Also, in Christianity, Jesus was not told to preach: fight if you must, to protect the authenticity of the Word.

So Gods Words, were lost. Because the believers did not believe in dying to protect them.

Today, any properly educated Muslim, would give his life, to protect a single letter of the Quran. And Im no different.

Edit: Sunnis and Shiias do not have core differences in the tenets of the religion. They both use the same book and they both adhere to the same values with a slight difference of attitude. Shiias are spiritual while Sunnis are more law abiding than spiritual.

Christians have argued about the core teachings of the Bible, while Muslims have not.

What core teachings? The divinity of Jesus thats what.

If people actually had to sit discuss such an important, undeniably life changing fact, then why are you trying to convince me that all this did not take place? That your own people, have doubted the Bible like anything before and had to fish for truths so many ages after Jesus.

How can you challenge the Qua ran and not the Bible too? Most the bible is a fairy tale, starting with Adam and Eve.. The old testament is full of fables from Genesis through Malachi. I would agree Jesus is probably the most righteous person ever to live, but even much of the New Testament can be far fetched.

You do realize ALL Christian holidays evolved from Pagan holidays. Jesus wasn't even born in December!! The Catholic Church has "modified" their beliefs as recently as last week. Guess what kids???? NO MORE PURGATORY!!! Woohooo!!! Now all you unbaptized children can go to heaven after all!!! God is all loving!!!

I do agree Jesus is most righteous.. but you have to take the written word with a grain of salt, including the bible.

I think that God got fed up with us messing us his word and finally did something about it. He also got tired of christians getting slaughtered after he sadi "thou shalt not kill" and allowed people to defend themselves. There are many changes made in the Quran after Christianity and Judaism.

will you can see that christians are not the same when it comes to believing in god...!
some of them think that Jesus is the god and others believe that he's the son of god...
from this we can see that there is a very huge different..
and the bible also have changed many times...

BUT the quran never been misstate and especially when it comes to god ...
we believe that Jesus was one of god prophet and that god dosn't have any partner or sons and daughters..!
he is alone ..!and since that have changed and twested in christianity believes and in the bible in general...god sent his last prophets with the only true book quran....and that was his willing ...!

hope everything is clear to you dear
peace

It was a challenge to the earlier people to see if they would take advantage of the word of God. There is no evidence that the purity of the Qur'an has been tainted.

I would not say that the Quran is flawless but rather that it has the fewest flaws between the three hebraically inspired religious texts.

Qur'an has never been altered, and its easy to memorize cover to cover. Millions have it memorized making it highly noticeable if it was tampered with like Bible was.
