...you've been believing in the wrong god all this time?

With my previous two questions, I wasn't trying to say that the only two options were Christian or Atheist, because they're not. There are millions of religions out there and they all have an equal chance at being true.

So let's say you live your life as a Christian, you die, you get to the afterlife, and Krishna is sitting there giving you the stink eye and getting ready to send you back to earth as a cockroach for not being Hindu.

Can you admit that another religion may be right? Can you admit that we humans will just never know?

And before anyone asks or gets on my case all "Well, YOU admit you could be wrong!" ...I'm an Agnostic. My entire belief system is based on the fact that I don't think we can ever know the truth about spirituality. I admit I could be wrong every day.

I'm just thinking of the bumper sticker my "agnostic atheist" wife has in her locker, the one that says, "Militant agnostic: I don't know and you don't, either." :-)

Definitely. In the way you put it here, I agree. I believe something is there... have had experiences I can't explain away (I wasn't on drugs... I didn't watch a scary movie... I hadn't read anything about these types of experiences - all the way thru scientific research on it). I don't subscribe to a single religion because I don't believe any of them are 100% correct, or even close... but I do see truths within them... basically truths on how to live, treat others, etc...

I guess we'll figure that one out once we get there. But that bridge, for me, is off in the distance and I'm still travelling the dirt path.

I could admit there is no way we can know all of it. I can admit that we just have enough portion to keep us from ruining it completely. I can admit that if I get to heaven and I got it wrong that I would we willing to try and do it differently.

Actually, you've gone a fair way towards converting me to Hinduism.

I -like- the idea of a god turning people into cockroaches rather than tossing them into a lake of fire and brimstone.

Poetic justice, I think =8-}

A better question would be since all monotheistic religions believe there is only one God, aren't they all the same God with just different ways to worship?

You have a fair and open minded stance unlike some people.

I'm agnostic as well. I'd have to agree with you.
