Eienstien predicted that without bees, human
existance would last about 4 years.
In the views of the agnostic is it just a cycle?
In the christian view, do you think this is the stage being set for gods judgement?

It`s difficult to say if this is part of God`s judgement it could well be a chastisement though, strangely enough I read a report that stated that the worlds population of bees is in serious decline and as they pollinate most of the worlds crops we could be heading for a serious famine in the near future.

Apart from who is predicting this (since many scientists predict that humans would have a hard time going on with out other species, such as bees,) I still take the stand that we are all interconnected. All animals (yes, including us) are part of a web, in which the importance of every organism may not be apparent, but it is real. If we were to sever a strand of the web, the entire thing may unravel.

I did watch a show in which they talked about the decline of bees and their production of honey and ability to pollinate plants. It predicted what would happen to the human race, among other species if this were to happen. It was a fairly grim fate.

Maybe the great age of plenty is over. All the fish are gone from the sea so the age of Pices is over as well. The bible does predict famine on an unprecedented scale. Fertility rates are dropping around the world, so I would say the future looks pretty black. People will look back on our age, and say they were living in heaven.

I've seen a couple of bees today - so if that is a factor, then we have at least a few more.

I didn't kill them, though they were hornets - and their honey is not to eat.

I did kill a pinching bug before he climbed up my leg though.

Could you give a reliable reference giving Einstein's actual quote and context in which he made this so-called prediction.

Of course, bees and ants are vital to the ecosystem and the world as we know it, so I'm not doubting it, I just want to see it for myself.

soon nothing will
oh that we reap is that we let them sow

bees are that essential to the ecosystem? interesting. no, I don't think this would be a judgement from God. whenever God sent a judgement in the Bible, He gave warning by a prophet, angel or by His Spirit; Eisntein wasn't a prophet.

Sodom and Gomorrah had many warnings (judged)
Egypt and Moses (judged)
King Nebuchadnezzar and Daniel (judged)
Ninevah and Jonah (saved)
Israel and Moses (saved, multiple times)
the world and Noah (judged)

these are just a few examples.

I've got bees in the backyard right now. I guess I have at least 4 more years. I'd be willing to share mine!

Its one of the curses. We were warned what would happen.

Deu 28:15 But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee:

Deu 28:16 Cursed shalt thou be in the city, and cursed shalt thou be in the field.

Deu 28:17 Cursed shall be thy basket and thy store.

You see, bees pollinate the flowers that produce the fruits and vegetables that are put in the grocery stores.

Thy basket and thy store. It wouldn't be there for you to buy it.

Einstein was a brilliant particle physicist but he didn't know squat about bee's or the human food supply.

Why quote him.

I somehow doubt God will use bees to destroy the earth but hey it could happen. I do know we don't need to worry about the world flooding from all the melted polar ice cause God promised he would never flood the world with water again. Next time it will be with fire as he did with Sodom and Gomorrah
