Though, I do not play the lottery except for the mega millions which is just $1.00 to purchase a ticket, but it baffles me how people spend their hard earn money each week spending hundreds of dollars on lottery tickets but of course, the winners are always elderly couples or truck drivers or someone in an uncorporated area but people in big cities invest the most time and money in it .

They call the lottery a tax on the stupid for a reason. I play every couple of months with a $1.00 ticket, but people who put major money into it are fools.

I live in New York and both the Mega Millions and Lotto ,I feel is extremely difficult to win. There are just so many numbers that the odds are very high. I do like to play the take 5, the odds are a little better and you (only) have to get 5 numbers instead of 6. Although you wont win a million dollars if you have all 5 its possible that you can win 100,000 dollars. Hell, the other day I had 3 numbers for a whopping $22. dollars. I have a lot better luck in the casionos. GOOD LUCK!

I live in Chicago and it never seems like anyone from Illinois wins.

I play every Tues and Fri, and will spend maybe $3 on each drawing. There's a guy who's always in the store I go to around the corner dropping at least $125 a day on lotto. That's insane to me.
