God is a loving God. He sent His only Son to die on a cross for our sins in place of us. You know why, because the lawful punishment for sin in those days was death. So Jesus faithfully gave His life instead. God loves you so much and I encourage you to test Him. He will prove worthy of your love as well. I promise, but can you...not will you but can you?

Easy answer, can you give me one reason why you cannot try God (the Buddhist concept of God) out?

Okay, several points to be made:

1. Try God out? Do you see God as some kind of a used car or something?

2. You talk about all these things God did, but they are all empty claims unless you can prove God did them. And to do that, you have to prove God exists. But you can't. No one can. The reason I single this out is because when someone like you makes these positive assertions as if it's the most obvious truth ever, when it's actually a completely nebulous claim, it only makes you look extremely arrogant and condescending toward not only atheists and other non-religious people, but followers of all other religions. Even the leading question carries a connotation that those who don't believe in your particular god are illogical.

3. You are not in any position to make the sort of promise you made at the end there. Again, you speak with an air of certainty, when the certainty is that you are NOT certain of anything you're saying, by virtue of the fact that one CANNOT be certain of such a thing. Again, arrogant and condescending, whether you realize it or not. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you are speaking under the influence of indoctrination, rather than being an outright liar.

Here's my good logical reason: the act of trying out the Christian god requires faith. I have no faith in a god that makes no logical sense. I cannot force this faith upon myself either. In order for a person, such as myself, to believe something that makes no sense at all, I must first decide that I want to believe these fairy tale beliefs and then take mind altering drugs. IF these drugs have the desired effect, I would be able to believe in the Christian god... at least until the drugs wear off. Unfortunately for you, I lack this desire to believe in your god, and I prefer not to introduce mind altering drugs to my body, especially if the only reason is for the sake of your argument.

Thank you.

Because I am happy with my deities and my religion. They give me guidance and blessings. I am happy and at peace. I'm looking forward to seeing them in the afterlife. Would you give a different answer than mine to this:

Can you give me one, good logical reason as to why you shouldn't try my Gods (The ancient Celtic Gods) out?

My guess is that your answer would be similar to mine except that you believe that there is only one "true" way to believe. I will happily respect your right to believe as you wish. Will you do the same?

No, I can't. The logical reason for not 'trying god', is that the belief in a god is illogical; as is the god itself.

I thought god tested us...not the other way around.

Your god has proven himself unworthy of love many times over...read the old testament.

Sorry, no. A loving father does not create his own child for the sole purpose of having him killed. A loving God does not allow anyone to burn in hell, ever, for any reason. A loving God does not murder millions of innocents. I could go on but you get the idea...

I do believe in God but never the christian version.

Good question. You're gonna get a lot of answers that say it's illogical, or it doesn't make sense. But I'm 100% with you. A lot of people will give u ignorant comments because of pride. Some people think their life is a game where they can just ride through with no cares or worries. And hearing that God works from somebody else won't change their minds. But u and I know that God is real, as real as the trees outside or the air we breathe. But all we can do is be a good witness to them and don't do anything that will shame the name of God. God Bless.

Nice way to proselytize Pascal's Wager.

As I was raised in that religion I've already 'tried' that deity out and needless to say I could see no proof of it so until some iron-clad proof does come along I will walk my own path without deities.

I've given God "a try" and came to the conclusion that I didn't need a higher being to be a good person. I'm my own person, I can make my own decisions and if I make the wrong choice, I can learn from it.

I don't need a book and eternal damnation to scare me into a little angel.

I don't understand... I have had a loving relationship with God since I was a young boy... I've run the spectrum from praying not to be gay to thanking him for making me who I am... and he's always been there for me... slowly helping me to be comfortable with who I am in a world full of nit-wits and supporting me in finding a man who I can love and celebrate throughout my life... God is good... It's the humans I worry about...
