I would like to take the train from Boston, Massachusetts, USA to Halifax, Nova Scotia. The AMTRAC website doesn't seem to help. I would like to find out about routes and cost. Help, please!

the only real way to go from Boston to Halifax would be to take Amtrak from Boston to Albany New York, and then change to a train heading north, such as the Adirondack or the Montrealer, or the Ethan Allen Express. any of these trains will take you into Canada...such as Toronto, Montreal, or even Niagara Falls. from there, take a VIA train from any of the aforementioned places to Halifax. It is the easiest way to take the train from Boston. I hope this has been helpful to you. Good luck with your travels.

You aren't the first to have no success with Amtrak's website, but the phone number may be a better way to go.
