I really don't think there are any metal hospitals in the world (LOL) but their are a lot of mental hospitals. There are specialized mental institutions called sanatoriums. Also Hospitals have a floor that is designated for mental health.
Also are you considering the private practice physiologist and psychiatrist who help and treat people with mental disorders? There is more to mental health treatment than being committed to a mental hospital.
This question is impossible to answer because you would need to know how many are public or private institutions. Also some people have their insurance company pay for private nurses to come in and treat the mentally handicapped relative. So do you consider that as hospital care. As with cancer patients they have hospice nurses that care for these patients.

I don't think there are any metal hospitals in the world but there are thousands of mental hopsitals in the world. Why would someone need a metal hospital? perhaps if they had lead poisoning?
