Ok Ive been watching a film and its really inspired me and made me think a lot. Now i have to admit I lie A LOT and everyday i regret it. I want to become a good person so i can have a place in heaven. No nasty comments please if so people may report you.

Awesome! God is so cool. If you have a good relationship and know what God looks like (that was the sermon my youth pastor just covered). Christians aren't weird! You need to talk to a pastor, read the Bible, and pray!!! Your in my prayers.

If you want to be more "religious" then that's great. These things work in strange ways, if you seek the truth, then God will ensure that you find it in your own unique way.
That is the quality of religion or spirituality, you do not find it, it finds you; and rather quickly at that.
In my case I had an epiphany about 10 years ago, between boxing day and new years eve, when at xmas I did not care much and at the start of the new year, was ecstatic at my discovery.
Be prepared to fail your ideals every day, as do I, but still continue to try every day and you will master the ideology bit by bit. The truly hard part is controlling the negative thoughts and emotions, but persevere as do I. Negative deeds are rather easier to control, such as lying.
As for the lying, you make a conscious decision to lie, so make a concious decision not to instead.
A famous quote goes " A truthful man has no need to fear anything". I think it is by a great spirit guide called silver birch ( American Indian, who lived on Earth 3000 years ago), although I am not 100% certain.

God bless you, he has His hand on you and I praise Him that He has led you to ask this question. We all sin but we have a loving and forgiving God, so much so that He sent His Son to die so that we could be forgiven our sins. You have admitted that you are a sinner, now you need to confess it to Jesus. Just speak to Him as though He was sitting right beside you. Tell Him all the ways that you are aware of sinning and ask Him to forgive you. Then ask Him to come into your heart and to cleanse you. Ask Him to fill you with His Holy Spirit and He will do it. Jesus said 'I stand at the door and knock. Whoever opens the door I WILL come in and dine with him'. Then believe He is there and He will be. Next step is to get yourself a bible and to start reading what it is to be a Christian. Start with the New Testament. It would be good if you can get involved in a church. Don't just try one, but try several until you find the one that is right for you. It is important that you do read your bible so that you will know if the church is really preaching the gospel. Tell someone you know and trust that you have become a Christian and get over any awkwardness about it right at the start. God bless you. You can e-mail me if you want to.

Aw that's nice. Do you come from a religious family? You haven't really specified which religion mean but I'll just take a stab in the dark and guess you mean Christianity, besides this is the only one I can help you with. If your parents go to church then maybe you would like to go once in a while? Choose the right church, with a priest that you don't find boring! because we all know what it's like to sit in a long church session with a monotonous priest.
Anyway, you could also start reading into the Bible more often....just look at some teachings from Jesus so you can understand all that he taught and live by them if you would like to be more religious. Praying is also a good step.

Well done you! Lying is an insidious habit, you start just "being nice" or "embroidering" the truth and the next thing you know it bites you in the back. Or you can get to the place you start believing your own tales!
If you want to be in Heaven, that's achieved by accepting Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, recognizing your need and your sin, and asking Him to forgive and help you.
He will. I promise. He helped me, and I was pretty horrid in the sin stakes.
Find a Christian friend to talk to, read the Bible (start with the Gospel of John, esp. chapter 10) and talk to God like He's your best friend standing right there--you don't even have to clasp your hands and close your eyes; just sit down and pour it all out.
I for one am proud of you and I'm sure He is too.

What film?
Believe in Jesus Christ and you will be saved. Read and study the Bible so you won't have to lie. You will know the truth and not have to make anything up anymore. Also go to church and sign up for one of the ministries, like becoming a greeter, for starters.
Choose to become a good person by praying to Christ and asking Him into your heart. The rest will follow naturally when and if that is what you want to do and when you are ready.

Well how I try to get through my day is I try to remember that I'm being watched every second of every day by one who is most important to me and that is God. I find that doing this I don't loose my temper so often and I am more calm and I find my self noticing things I may have missed along the way. Lately I have been wearing my God Rules bandana. I'm not really a bandana kind of person but it really keeps me in check. Hope this helps. Also another thing that I have been doing is I devote 15 minutes in the morning and 15-30 at night to him and I have found that my day goes a lot better.

Religion and "being good" cannot get you to heaven. There is nothing you can do to earn your way, for salvation is a gift. Only repentance from your sins (of which regret is but the first step) and being made a new person in Jesus Christ can.

If you are going on Christianity you dont get into heaven by doing good you need to trust in Christ as your savior and that He is the ONLY way you will get to heaven. Once you accept Him you are filled with the Holy Spirit and it will grieve you when you do things like lie. And if you truly regret that you just need to stop yourself from embellishing or lying period. Practice makes perfect...well not quite

Love your Internet Native name, Starnight. Begin with that and cycle back to the first man or woman whom saw the stars in wonder and maybe thought they would send lessons. You have already become a better person by renouncing the lies and don't for a moment think you are not exposed everyday to eLies on the internet, personal lies from your boss or even sweet lies from your lover. It is human nature to present ourselves in better packaging.
