THE MORTAL'S FORTUNE

The mortal ,
shunned by all ,
was struck upon by the unspoken wrath ,
of his beloved Goddess.

Witnessing the serenity of her grace,
turn into the fires of hell,
left him stunned as a shot soldier on the front.

Blessed and chosen he felt later.
Instead of being ignored like dirt ,
was enshrined ,
if not in her hallowed heart ,
but at least in her enraged thoughts momentarily .

I think that a lot of us hope for that moment when our chosen God/Goddess makes us their focus. Most of us just need to believe in Something/Someone bigger than ourselves. In the end, we all want the answer to that ultimate question: "is there really a God/Goddess out there?"
I dont know if this is the comment you were looking for, but its the only one I can think of. I like your poem. It gives one pause to think, and come to grips with the knowledge that a Higher Being can be the creation of us as well as the destruction, and only they know their reasons for either one.

Then, Lifted up into Her light,
The mortal was enveloped
In a love so pure,
unknown by mankind,
as She breathed Her life,
into him again, and in Perfect Love
and Perfect Trust,
Did She leave Him
Stronger than before
for life everlasting.
