I dreamed that I met a professional football player and he was really crazy about me. The dream showed he was married with two young children. Him and I was at a game he had played in. He was trying to decide if he would leave his wife for me. The comment from him was my wife is Jewish and I was protestant, to one of the guys on the team. His friend said, I can help you solve this. He asked how?His teammate said I date her. He said no!!! She's a nice and deserving woman, keep away from her. They started to brawl and another teammate broke it up, saying to the guy in my dreams; You need to make up your mind on this because it will affect our season. The dream ended with him asking me what to do. I told him he had to make that decision himself. What does this mean?

Dreams are about our unresolved emotions from our conscious state. They help us resolve them through the symbols.

The game is life. You are feeling like you are being offered an unrealistic event in your life (the already married boyfriend) It would go against your own ethics and integrity. The boyfriend is gallant enough to not want to test you with dating his friend and is fighting to keep you.

Although this is unrealistic and he knows he will have to make a decision, he passes the buck on that to you which you pass back to him.

It would appear that there is a decision to be made and you are trying very hard to remain honest and sincere in this decision. It is suggesting that you do not give your power of decision-making to anyone else.

As a part of everyone involved in the dream, does it help you decide what feels right for you?

According to the activation-synthesis theory of dreams, the dream probably has no meaning at all. (Sorry, that may not be what you wanted to hear.)

Although dreams are influenced by our thoughts throughout the course of the day, this does not mean they are special messages to us that we should carefully consider.

Here's one perspective:

"Activation Synthesis Theory is a neurobiological theory of dreams, put forward by James Allan Hobson and Robert McCarley in 1977, which states that dreams are a random event caused by firing of neurons in the brain. This random firing sends signals to the body's motor systems, but because of a paralysis that occurs during REM sleep, the brain is faced with a paradox. It synthesizes a narrative by drawing on memory systems in an attempt to make sense of what it has experienced."

Dreams usually are just dreams... something stuck in your subconscious mind working itself out. Maybe the news of the recent draft picks is stuck in your craw.

it means if you ever are in this situation it will cause turmoil to those around you. the guy is a wus and wants you to tell him what to do. that kind of guy who doesnt know his own mind doesnt have any guts and isnt worth having.
