He said we just aren't happy together and maybe he should move out...FINE! I want it ALL OUT NOW! Should I give him any more than a week to get all of his crap out? He's decided that he doesn't want any responsibilities, like mowing the yard, picking up after himself, helping me around the house, etc... Why should I think he won't drag his feet and be freakin' lazy about moving out, like he is about everything else?! He is completely irresponsible and unreliable and I AM DONE!

Need more info. Are you married? If yes, he doesn't have to leave until the divorce is final. Are you just living together and your name is on the lease and not his, you have to give him 30 days to leave, then if he's still there start eviction proceedings. If both of your names are on the lease, then he has as much right to be there as you do until the lease is up. You may have to be the one that moves. Hard to say though without more info.
Just tell him to be out by next week and see what happens. he may go willingly.

It all depends on how long he's been living with you...In MD, if you have been living with a person for 30 days or more, techinally that's his residence...You can ask him nicely to move-out, but you cant just put his stuff out because he irresponsible and wont help with the house work. (You might want to check the laws in your state)...There is an eviction process you must follow and that can take up to another 60 to 90 days, so again ask nicely and see what happens...

I would do it now as well forget the week. Hes had it made in the past sounds like you diid everything for him and in turn he took advantage of you.

However, in most states if he has been living there longer than 30 days even if he is not on the lease or in the paperwork, you may have to go and get a court order to evict him. I know it sounds weird.

Get him out of your life and find someone that wants to share their life with you. good luck

Why not put all of his crap in large trash bags and placing them somewhere so that they aren't in your way and then giving him, say a week to come and get it all. If he says "cool" then tell him that if it's not all out by the end of the week you are throwing it away.

I'm sorry that you appear to have to hold his hand and walk him through crap to ensure that it gets done but if you do it all at once and within your time parameters then you should only have to do it just once more and then he'll be out of your life forever. That's just my two cents.

Give him your deadline and what is left there after is yours!
You can get some of your best friends and have a party throwing his crap on the front lawn! It's always a treat!
Good Luck and dont settle for less!

If he said he wanted out then he's been thinking about it for awhile. Sounds like he should have been planning on where he was moving his stuff. Toss it to the lawn. You'll find someone better!! Good luck to you.

I would put all his stuff in the yard and turn the sprinklers on. Screw a week. I would do it right now.
