I work for an orthodontist and we do not require credit checks. All that we have our patients do is sign a contract to pay a certain amount each month and if for some reason you do not keep your part of the contract then we usually will go to court. Contact your local orthodontist and ask them if they will set up payment agreements with you and they will say yes as long as you sign the contract or they will say yes if you pass the credit report.

You don't need good credit to sign up - This will cut your orthodontic bill trememdously. After that, ask for a monthly plan through the the office.
