When I think of the love Jehovah showed for me up to the point of even willing to offer his Son, though I was (and am) a sinner, and when I think of that Jesus went through, such as the cruel toerture and unjust murder, in order that I may live, then the only way I can even think about paying them back (which one can never do) is by "paying it forward" as it were, by helping others.

The second commandment that Jesus gave, right behind loving God with your whole being, was to love your neighbor as yourself.

ALL people should live by that, not just Christians or a specific denomination :0)

*Plus, happy people live longer!*

We weren't like that before. True believers really love others, and are concerned for them. There is a real change happening in our lives, and it cannot be explained logically. All we can say is this: the Spirit of God lives within us, and He sheds His love abroad, causing us to love like He loves, something that we were previously incapable of. And it's something I can't fully explain. I just know it's real.

Created in the image of the one God and equally endowed with rational souls, all men have the same nature and the same origin.

Redeemed by the sacrifice of Christ, all are called to participate in the same divine beatitude: all therefore enjoy an equal dignity.

We are called to love one another as Christ loves us. This includes loving even our enemies.

We are not always successful but we keep trying.

With love in Christ.

That's called 'dying to ourselves'. We recognize that there is a higher calling, we are aware that many hate us, but Jesus said that the world hated him first.

I would recommend that you read John 15:9 - 18, not because I seek to convert you, but that I want you to understand what you are asking.

I didn't post it here because I figure that you have seen enough cut and paste verses from the Bible. So the choice is yours, if you really want to know, okay?

why do people love their children even when they mess up.

Christians want the best for everyone. We feel like we have something great and we want to share it with everyone. It's kindness, That people want to reject.

"why do u christians care about everyone... though u get stepped on?"

If you are present in glory, yet I have 20,000 boot prints on my backside to make it happen. It would be worth it. My backside will heal, and you will be there.

YOUR QUESTION IS WHAT IS AWKWARD AND WEIRD. do you even know what you are asking about?? you can not harm us with stepping on us,,,,get real. Greater is he whom we belong to, than he who you belong too. May the Lord forgive you.
