The peanut butter should be fine.

The issue is leaving out for months on end and the concern with the fat in the peanut butter going rancid. A few hours now and then won't hurt it. Also, if you go through your peanut butter quickly... within a month or two, then you really don't have to worry about refrigeration. It takes about a year for me to go through a jar.

Hello! _x
I hope I can help in some way. It's best not to eat the Peanut Butter. The reason for this is that there are bacteria particles floating around the air. These Can easily land on the Peanut Butter. My advice is to get rid of that jar and buy a fresh pot of Peanut Butter. [[Especially if someone else allergic to it]] Hope this will give you some idea.

I never put my peanut butter in the fridge cos it makes it difficult to spread! I always keep it in the cupboard sometimes for a couple of months so I'm sure it will be fine!!!

I never put my Peanut butter in the fridge infact i never knew you were supposed to. Wouldnt it make it to hard to spread so nicely? But then again I imagine if left out for month on end the oils in it could go bad but we dont buy the econ size so it doesnt last for months

You don't have to put peanut butter in the fridge. It's like ketchup. Even though the package says to put it in the fridge, you don't need to.

I always keep mine inthe cabinet and I have never been sick from it. If you keep it in the fridge it is too hard to spread on bread.
