Me and my boyfriend have been together 7 months (i'm 21, he's 22). He likes to go out on either friday or saturday with his friends and he says that I cant go with him. EVER. I understand that guys like to have a boys night out now and then and i'm fine with that, but I dont understand why its a problem for me to come every once in a while. I find it hard to believe his friends never bring their girlfriends. Am I being lame, should I just let him do his thing? Or is he being lame for not letting into that part of his life?

I agree with sarah...something's up. all guys have boys night out...doesn't mean it has to be every week, and that you're forbidden to go what is that BS...at least he can tell you where he is and what's going on. i don't buy any of those people saying give him this and that. It's fine you don't need to go with him everywhere, but he shouldn't mind if once in a while you want to go..Something's up honey

He's not being lame, and neither are you. you are expressing a natural concern. you love him, and you want to know everything about him. you want to be the most important part of his life, which is something I totally get. However, he needs his guy time. It's only been 7 months. You're not married. Consider it a sign of a healthy relationship that he goes off with his friends and still comes back to you. Eventually, you and your friends may go out with him and his friends, make a party night out of it. But take it slow, and let him get used to dating you and balancing that with his social life.

He's being kind of lame for never letting you go out with them. Invite them all over sometime to come hang out. Offer to make everyone dinner and let them chill. Maybe they all have a "no girlfriends" rule, but you stand a chance if you let them get to know you. That way, you aren't invading their night together.

I'd ask him what goes on on guy nights, too, because it sounds a little suspicious. If you're just curious (rather than accusatory) he may explain himself.

Lets think: what do a bunch of guys do when they go out on a friday or saturday night?

I think you have more to worry about then him being lame.....

If he won't EVER let you go out with him and his friends, there is a reason. I can understand once or twice that he just wants to hang out with the guys. Every weekend is not right. I would definitely not trust him.

You're being lame if you wanna go out with the guys, ask him if other girls ever go and when they do can you go, otherwise let him go out with the guys, you go out with the girls when he does.

Guys need there own time out. If you want to be happy, never interfere with that. Think about when you are with your girlfriends...it would certainly not be the same if he were there. You need to have your space to be you, he needs his space to be him, and you need your space together as a couple.

I would wonder what kind of activity he is doing that makes it absolutely prohibited for you to go out with him. Is he going to strip clubs? He's removing some trust from the relationship by shutting you out 1/7th of the time.
