You need to contact your husbands doctor immediately or take your husband to the hospital. He could possibly have hemorrhoids, a bleeding ulcer, GI bleeding. It could actually be pretty serious if you dont take care of it! You want to know where the blood is coming from, and thats the most important!!! So please take care of this as soon as possible. . . Best of Luck

I'm not a doctor but know of someone who had a similar problem. He should definitely have it checked by a doctor. It may be hemmorhoids or polyps. The person I knew had polyps that would bleed...don't really know what they are..maybe abnormal growths in the rectum. He had surgery for it and was sore for maybe a couple of days and has been fine ever since...that was probably 10-15 years ago.

If its blood with stool then its probably hemorrhoids or an abrasion of the large intestine. Both are usually not that big a deal but still require medical attention. If there is blood in the stool eg. red brown/black stools, it is usually indicative of a much more serious condition. Either way seek immediate medical attention just in case.

I guess since he's not seeing a doctor, you have no insurance. But please know that while it might not be serious, it could become serious by prolonging treatment. So you will not know until he see's a doctor. Find a clinic, or a hospital outpatient service, most will see him for no immediate charge, under the circumstances. Then they will offer an inexpensive sliding scale fee based on your salary, bring proof of income, like 4 weeks of paychack stubs. it could be something as harmless as a benign cyst or hemmoroids, but he will still need treatment.

You definitely need to get him checked out. It could be something like hemroids or could be something as bad as Salmonilla or Ecolli. He'll need to be able to describe the color of the blood as well as if it has a smell. When my son had Salmonila it was a dark red that had an infection type smell. Don't ask for answers about something that serious on here....get him to the hospital.

been there.. if it's red, then it's most likely a hemmorhoid... no need to be too concerned unless it doesn't stop after a day or so...

a small amount of blood in the water looks like huge amount. I was rather scared my first time with it.. went to my dr and that was confirmed as what it was.

Its his hemorrhoids. Go to the drug store or walmarts & get some over the counter meds. for it. If you go to the dr. they are going to tell you the same thing. He needs to drink more water & eat more fiber. I know cause I went thru this but mine was so bad I had to wear a pad. I know gross but its true & that is what the dr. told me to do. Good luck & don't worry

Please take him to the doctor ASAP. I know it is sometimes hard to get guys to go in, but it is really really important.

It might just be hemorrhoids but it could be colon cancer or something serious. He needs to be checked. He could become anemic and start having other problems too. Insist he goes in. It is impossible to know what is wrong without an exam. (Yes I know he will hate it, but it is necessary. Hold his hand if it helps).

Yes be very concerned. Call now and make an appointment for him to see the doc ASAP. Get off the computer and call the doc so he gets that appointment made.

it is a chance that he has hemmorhoids, but it can also indicate intestinal or abdominal bleeding, so go to the doctor and they will probably do a colonoscopy, they may also want a sample of his bowels, if possible bring one with you it will get the lab testing started quicker
