No thats not bad at all. My parents had 8 kids. Its just what they wanted it doesn't make them crazy or anything like that. Adults now a days are really selfish and don't want the responsibility of that many kids, or any kids for that matter, but thats there business, and its your moms business for how many children that she wants. She shouldn't let it get her down it makes her happy and thats all that matters.

I really like the name Nolan, Bradley is a more common name. I think that Nolan goes better with the uniqueness of all of the other names. I hope that you guys can find it easy to pick the one that you want. Good Luck with your new baby brother.

Unfortunately in today's world people often feel that they have the right to force their ideals on other people. Raising children is expensive, exhausting and utterly rewarding in ways that words can never describe. Ignore those harsh comments and take solace in the fact that you have a wonderful family and are being blessed with another sibling. As the mother of three, i too had many comments and wouldn't change my decision for anything in the world. Next time smile and say thank god for the five of us no!!! Then laugh and walk away. The person won't know what to do and you will feel vindicated. good luck and enjoy the new baby.

I would never have 5 kids but I really respect people who do. That is if they can take care of their kids financially and try to be a responsible and good mom. There's nothing wrong with 5 kids at all, it is respectable.

As you can see, there are plenty of unpleasant people around. But, there are also a lot of nice people, too - it sounds like you're one of the nice ones. Hang in there with your Mom, help her out when you can (as I'm sure you already do) and remind her try not to listen to mean people.
I'm one of 5 kids, and I know families bigger than mine. It's hard work, and you're probably going to have your share of fights and squabbles, but with all of you helping each other, you should manage OK.
If all of your brothers and sisters are as great as you are, you'll be fine!

Disgustingly rude people that say such horrible things usually say them to get a reaction, or to make your mother feel bad.

Tell you mom that next time it happens, to look the person staight in the eye, smile gently, and say, "Yes I have heard of it, but I prefer not to use it." :-D

Kindness will confuse them, and a response like that may make them think before they say something like that again.

There is nothing wrong with having a large family. Your mom is a good one though, cause there is no way I could have 5. As long as she love you all, and care for you there's nothing wrong with her having them.

people love to pass judgement and be cruel. pay them no mind if your family is a happy family, then i wouldn't worry about it! my mother also had 5 children! it was great having so many kids to play with! congrats on the little brother!!!
