A healthy goal to set is 1-2 lbs a week. If you are really overweight to begin with you may notice a larger weight loss in the beginning. This is natural. You may also experience platues where you don't lose weight for awhile. This is natural too. Change things up and you should get through this.
1. Don't focus too much on the scales. Check your waist size, how you feel, and your overall shape and tone. If you are losing weight in a healthy manner all these factors will change for the better.
2. Drink lots of water.
3. Eat 5-6 smaller meals a day.
4. Don't eat after 7. Only Water.
5 Walk. It's the easiest form of exercise. (bike or run or hike if your into those activities)
6. Build muscle. Muscle is the best calorie / fat burner you have. (you don't have to be a body builder. Lean toned muscle is great.)
7. Remove the junk food from home. Out of site out of mind.
8. If your really busy then try preparing healthy meals ahead of time and refrigerate or freeze them for later.
Hope this answer helps.
Take care,
Lee

Since March 1 I have done high protien/low carb. I do try to watch the calories too. I do at least an hour of walking a day or other exercise that keeps your body moving. My doctor told me to do this to help lose weight fast. It does work I have lost 32 lbs since then and have 20 more to go. I feel much better too. I do take a over the counter vitamin to help with what I may not be eating. I only drink water or crystal light. There are alot of things that will work, just doing it and sticking to it is the hardest part. Exercise is a must though!

Eating the right things is the solution. That means: no chocolate, no coke, no ice-cream and nothing else that includes fat or sugar.
If you really wan't to lose weight longlasting you have to do some sports. Just try to catch up some friends and go jogging in a park... there's nothing funnier in the world!
But do never overact a diet! You know this can be very dangerous. And maybe you needn't even lose weight!

I tried that Kellogg's diet 2 bowls of crunchy nut cornflakes a day then a proper meal, for 2 weeks. I also drank a litre of water a day ( they recommend 2 litres- couldn't do that ). Then i went for a walk only half hour but every day. It does work and i honestly lost 10 lb. After that i just cut down on my intake of bread and of course junk food, and ate plenty of veg and fruit. Ive lost a stone and half in 4 weeks. Good luck

Go bland. Plain, uncomplicated, unseasoned food such as barbequed chicken, plain rice and a nude baked potato are nutritious your palette will tire of them quickly, unlike salty moreish highly processed food, which keeps you snacking and piling on the pounds.

It’s Friday brunch time and you just can’t stop going back for seconds. But hang on! Stop for the minute and suck on another strong mint. The flavour will put you off that 3 rd plate of chicken korma/roast beef/sushi medley.
