No, but it does seem to be the wagon that he will ride into the world upon.

The Antichrist is not a "thing", its an entity.
He is his own entity. He is coming disguised and pretending to be Jesus Christ.
Forget the notion that the mark of the beast is a social security number, etc....
666:
6th seal
6th trump
6th vial
Slow down and read Gods Word in the simplicity that he teaches.
If you want the actual whole story behind the mark of the beast, go to where it all started: In Genesis, Cain had the mark put onto him when he was thrown out of the Garden. It is the mark of his own father, the devil. The mark of the beast will not be ON someone: it will be IN THE FOREHEAD.
Whats in the forehead? Your brain. If you are deceived and think that Antichrist is the true Christ, then you have the mark. Its just that simple. ".....is this the man who deceived the whole world?"
We are in the end generation, and yep,
Christ is coming back real soon....but remember that Antichrist comes FIRST, at the 6th trump; Christ does not gather back to us for any reason, until the 7th trump.
Here is a real simplification: if you are in your flesh body, the true Christ has not returned, and I don't care who says he's Christ, or how many miracles he can perform. In the flesh? Its not Christ.
Don't be harvested out of season.

Capitalism is certainly at the root of many of the evils and injustices in the world today. However, it is hardly the providence of the atheists.
There are a great many avowed Christians who are amongst the worst of the capitalist oligarchy.

Capitalism in and of itself has nothing to do with the concept of the antichrist. The antichrist means, anyone who denies that Jesus is come in the flesh.
