You are right when you say that there is more then one "god", BUT the only God that maters is The Lord God of the Bible. people can make up "gods", but the God of the bible is ruler over all these fake gods.
In 1 Samuel chapter 5 verses 1-4 God proves his power over another "god" called Dagon
1Sa 5:1 Now the Philistines had taken the ark of God, and they brought it from Eben-ezer unto Ashdod.
1Sa 5:2 And the Philistines took the ark of God, and brought it into the house of Dagon, and set it by Dagon.
1Sa 5:3 And when they of Ashdod arose early on the morrow, behold, Dagon was fallen upon his face to the ground before the ark of Jehovah. And they took Dagon, and set him in his place again.
1Sa 5:4 And when they arose early on the morrow morning, behold, Dagon was fallen upon his face to the ground before the ark of Jehovah; and the head of Dagon and both the palms of his hands lay cut off upon the threshold; only the stump of Dagon was left to him.
The only true God is the Lord God of the bible

well its all a person perception how he defines his creator..how much he thinks his god has power
if i define God ..
i'd say the supreme power.. master of the universe..
in his hand is everything..
that is why we worship him to thank him and to ask for more..
and u see Allah is so so so independent that he doesnt need anything.. God doesnt want any thing.. Needs and Wants are associated with humans not with the almighty..
he doesnt need our worship.. not of any kind ..
whatever a person do .. he do it for himself.. and to please god.. not because god needs it..we pray for this world and the here after may allah giude us on the right path.. may he be happy with us.. may he reward us here and in the here after..
God is just beyond man's perception.. so he defines him the way he can percieve God .everybody has different perception thats y u hear diff definitions from diff people.. the power is 1.. and we are too small to define him completely

as i experienced everything in this universe is made out of matters of nature, and i have never came across one thing of a kind so if there's a one god then there should be many thousands of them.
that is why i think there are so many religions. but till now i haven't came across any kind of god so i don't care about godly things and their religions.
what does gods know about human...we are more smarter, peacefull, friendly and fearless.

The Blind Men and the Elephant
It was six men of Indostan
To learning much inclined,
Who went to see the Elephant
(Though all of them were blind),
That each by observation
Might satisfy his mind
The First approached the Elephant,
And happening to fall
Against his broad and sturdy side,
At once began to bawl:
“God bless me! but the Elephant
Is very like a wall!”
The Second, feeling of the tusk,
Cried, “Ho! what have we here
So very round and smooth and sharp?
To me ’tis mighty clear
This wonder of an Elephant
Is very like a spear!”
The Third approached the animal,
And happening to take
The squirming trunk within his hands,
Thus boldly up and spake:
“I see,” quoth he, “the Elephant
Is very like a snake!”
The Fourth reached out an eager hand,
And felt about the knee.
“What most this wondrous beast is like
Is mighty plain,” quoth he;
“ ‘Tis clear enough the Elephant
Is very like a tree!”
The Fifth, who chanced to touch the ear,
Said: “E’en the blindest man
Can tell what this resembles most;
Deny the fact who can
This marvel of an Elephant
Is very like a fan!”
The Sixth no sooner had begun
About the beast to grope,
Than, seizing on the swinging tail
That fell within his scope,
“I see,” quoth he, “the Elephant
Is very like a rope!”
And so these men of Indostan
Disputed loud and long,
Each in his own opinion
Exceeding stiff and strong,
Though each was partly in the right,
And all were in the wrong!
Moral:
So oft in theologic wars,
The disputants, I ween,
Rail on in utter ignorance
Of what each other mean,
And prate about an Elephant
Not one of them has seen!
-- John Godfrey Saxe

the true God is Objective not subjective. I could say that my god was a trash can that walks and farts fairy dust...and i could say "see!" and point to the trash can...it would sit there. The god you are talking about is relative he/she is governed by the "believer" but the "believer" knows (on some level) they created the god....God created the world, God is in charge and God is not going to change.

Oh be prepared for an onslaught of Christians telling you how wrong you are. I for one feel that if you believe in a higher being whether it be god, Allah, Mohamed, Buddha etc then so be it . That is your belief/religion then be proud of that. I will not bash you for your religious beliefs and would not expect someone to bash me for mine. May your god bless you!

I believe there is only one true God. It's just that how we get through to him (pray) that is different.
i.e:
Christians - pray to Lord Jesus as they believe that Jesus is the son of God.
Muslims - direct prayer to the God Himself.
Hinduism - pray to their Lord Krishna... and other numerous gods.
.. so when one says: "God wants..".. I think he/she is referring to THE God..as in The Big Boss up there.

I don't believe in "a god", but rather THE God that created us--the one you can read about in the Holy Bible. I have a god, oh, yes. But He is not just MY God, but the Creator of the world and the God of those who accept Him. My God is not what I want Him to be but rather all the virtuous and holy things that I am not and would like to be.
