People can imagine God to be whoever they want God to be, Toni. I've never really gone for the idea of a female God because I'm more in tune with men on the whole. God is The Boss and I've never really hit it off with female bosses so I'd rather think of my maker as being male. However, others are at liberty to think what they please - it's no skin off my nose as the saying goes... Do you believe in God then? If so, what do you perceive God to be?

If you're being serious, and if there were a God, then 'It' would be neuter.
If you're raising a smile then She's female - for two reasons ;
1. No male would ever have put the testicles on the outside.
2. I've seen Her - and She's black.

(I had a glance at your profile, Toni, and I wish you well.)

I personally am not even sure if i believe in the exsistance of god...because i have always thought that it would be rather impossible to create the earth in 7 days, so i put it all down to science...but maybye if god does exist then it is half male and half female! but as i said earlier, science is more a logical explanation... x

Sexuality is a biological function which evolved originally to combat infestation by parasites. Since God is not a biological entity, and does not reproduce, God does not have sexuality, either male or female.

It is human nature to attempt to make God fit the mold of humanity, thus we have religions, which are attempts on the part of the finite minds of humans to comprehend the infinite.

We look at the incomprehensible, and are made anxious. In order to alleviate our anxiety, we make up stories about the infinite that make it more palatable and give us the illusion that we can to some extent control it.

Male. That is why we call Him our Father in Heaven. However, to be fair, we also have a Mother in Heaven that God has not told us about to protect Her from our profanity. The word for God, Elohim, is a plural term and could well encompass Father and Mother in Heaven, as well as Jehovah, known to us as Jesus, and the Holy Ghost, all of whom have Godhood status. Creation covers a lot of territory, not just birth, therefore, not necessarily a female function.

Well, He is neither AND He is both. We are made in His image, parts of Him are visible in us. He refers to Himself as a Father, and a Son, so maybe His male qualities are more dominant. Why would Creation make Him female? It still takes both to make life.

huh? a god will be higher than a guru. a guru is nearly a extreme priest. a sex avatar will be between a god and a guru (avatar, in case you do not recognize, is the mortal incarnation of a god)

God is definitely a man. A woman would not let all the terrible things happen to her creations. Women are more protective of their children.

According to the Qu'ran and the Islamic faither, God has no gender. Although he refers to himself as 'He' in the Qu'ran he is not a man. He is a supreme, all-poweful, almighty being and there are none comparable to him.

"In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Say: He is Allah, the One and Only!
Allah, the Eternal, Absolute;
He begetteth not nor is He begotten.
And there is none comparable to Him."

As men had had the control over politics and religion "we" have made God a Him, but I think God has both sex or none, though because women gives birth I am suspicious that it can really be a woman...
