do you mean that a dentist referred a patient to another doctor because she was only requesting to do what was necessary?

YOU MUST PHRASE YOUR QUESTION IN PROPER SYNTAX AND SENTENCE STRUCTURE... BUT, I DO UNDERSTAND.
SINCE THIS DENTIST FELT THAT IT WAS MORE APPROPRIATE THAT SOMEONE ELSE DO THE WORK, HE REFERRED THE PATIENT TO SOMEONE ELSE. THIS WAS NOT OUT OF THE ORDINARY AND THE PATIENT WOULD ULTIMATELY BE BETTER OFF.
SO, WAS THIS A GOOD THING TO DO?
