I personally prefer either Makers Mark for every day drinking or a black whisky called Loch Dhu....but watch out - LD is powerful stuff! LOL

Best Bourbon Whiskey: George T Stagg single malt, barrel proof
Best Rye Whiskey: Thomas C. Handy Rye, single malt, barrel proof
Both bottled by Buffalo Trace (which is a fine brand in and of itself) and are really amazing. They blow those overly sweet, flimsy bourbon, ryes and other American whiskeys out of the water. Not for the faint of heart.

That sir is a loaded question
You have many kinds
* Scotch whisky
* Bourbon whiskey
* Canadian whisky
* Corn whiskey
* Irish whiskey
* Moonshine
* Rye whiskey
* Tennessee whiskey
* Welsh whisky
* Japanese whisky
Narrow it down a bit. They are quite different.
For the record, I like Booker's Bourbon

It depends on the type of whiskey?
Irish - Jameson
Bourbon - Makers Mark
Scotch - Talisker
And so on. I'm sure there are brands above in price but these are decent for the cost.
