Your dentist can do this at your next 6 month check up and probably it won't cost you anything extra.

Well that all depends on how far the nerve goes down in the eye tooth. It also depends if you are willing to possibly getting your teeth pulled and have a permanent bridge put in. As for the cost it all depends on what they find in the ex-rays if they will be able to just file them and you will need to get them capped since you have taken the enamel off the bottom part of the tooth. And if you need the bridge work and have no insurance for dental work you are looking at a bill in the thousands. Even some insurance companies will not cover this because it is for cosmetic purposes. The same applies for those who are on state aid.

If you are set on this idea I would call your local orthodontist offices and get price quotes.

I had pointy eye-teeth and refused the filing my orthodontist recommended because I didn't want to risk losing any enamel.
Anyways...I'm now in my 40's and through the years my eye teeth have now naturally been filed down just by eating.

They can put a program over it and it looks like other teeth. The tooth is filed down and a 'spam' applied.' They are good for 15 years. Mine have been in over 25 years and are still good.

KARIN,
THIS IS A VERY SIMPLE AND EASY PROCEDURE TO ACCOMPLISH. YOU WON'T REALLY NEED A SHOT FOR IT, AND IT'S NOT A DIFFICULT PROCEDURE. THE CHARGE SHOULD BE MINIMAL AND YOUR DENTIST CAN DO IT NEXT TIME YOU GET A CLEANING AT THE OFFICE.
