Good question. I guess it depends on the situation.

Did you know that if you were a police officer (or close family member) that you would not get any traffic violation? It is called "professional courtesy". They are above the law. All they have to do say I am a police officer or police officers wife. I think it is BS

Remember that you are innocent until proven guilty. Each case is judged on it's own merit. Perhaps there was exigent circumstances in one case. Perhaps for some reason, the prosecution failed to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the person was guilty in one case. The officer could have made an error. There are numerous reasons why a person will be acquitted by the court.

There are many variables to consider, some that immediately come to my mind:
1. Same driving history?
2. Same Judge?
3. Same representation?
4. Same presentation?

Hope this helps.

well said "the guv". as for the original question, there has to be more here. All i can say right now is every offense is brought before the courts on its individual merits and circumstances. To answer this question fully we would need to know that information.

your full of crap jace.i have been in law enforcement for more than ten years.its folks like you that shoot off your mouth, that makes people disrespect cops, and then in retro, makes the cop disrespect the person that asked this question.if you are stopped for a minor offence, and you treet that officer with some sort of decentcy,a warning is probably what you are going to get. second, jace, this was in court.that is a judge, not a cop.third, jake,i know several deputies who have been ticketed by our own troopers.fourth, jake, answer the question the person asked, not one you made up.
