i have answered two similar questions in two days...if when we die, that's just it, we just, well DIE, then what have i missed in my life because i believe in the christian God and Jesus Christ? i try to "be ye kind one to another", i do not judge, lest i be judged by the same measure...and Lord knows i have done some doozies...i do not try to get the speck out of my brother's eye until i remove the log from my own, i don't give my money to the church, ok, some for missions, but the most money i give is in the fall to the golden harvest foodbank.
again...if i die today, am i less of a person because i believe in God?

Nope.one day we are to give an account to GOD.when we lived a life pleasing to him.Nope u arnt a less of a person because u believe in GOD and JESUS.infact u are the child of GOD.the creator of whole universe.what makes u think u are a less of a person.when u do die u have eternity to live with JESUS.so u life is awesome.

read John 3:16 .GOD sent his son JESUS so when we believe in JESUS we have eternal life.JESUS lived a sinless life and gave up his life as a sacrifice so we can be sin free. Ask JESUS to come into your heart and forgive ur sins and
cleanse ur past with his blood.

With a simple prayer like above u can be saved.JESUS loves u and wants u to be saved

Yes.
Our thoughts represent our limits (the main reason why education is so important). When we self-impose these limits, it becomes doubly difficult for us to thrive.
Please, look at the history of science...it has generally come at great struggle against the forces of religion.
People who "do good" in their personal lives are also the same people who sit by while atrocities are committed in the name of their faith. Obviously, every christian alive during the Inquisition didn't participate (a few may have actively resisted), but the majority simply went on living "good" lives while these actions took place. And they did it because it was their religion.
Just something to think about...

Drink! Thinly veiled Pascal's Wager!

But, to answer your question, you are not less a person, but you have led less of a life, viewing it through a distorted, filtered lense.

Ask yourself... as a Christian, what have Hindu's, or Wiccas or Muslims or Jews lost by leading their lives with their belief, if those beliefs prove invalid? It is the same for you.

No, you can believe what you want to believe. If you want to believe in God & Christ, that's fine, if it makes you a better person while you're on this earth, that's great. You don't loose anything . . . . Except maybe the hour or two a week that you go to church.

you are a wonderful person, beautifully and wonderfully made, an original; loving God keeps you from losing anything and wants you to have everything God has given you special attributes(be sure not to abuse them)God is always on your side and by your side,if we had never made mistakes we wouldnt be human be sure if God can forgive you to forgive yourself guilt feelings are of the devil just ask God to forgive and forget He is faithful and just to do so

no not at all....you have missed nothing in your life..

but just think about this, now do you understand how irritating it is when other people say you're missing out on life simply because u don't share their views?

well..personally,THAT'S exactly why it's irritating for me when christians think i need "saving" :)

see,the atheists who go on about their beliefs are doing exactly what YOU'RE doing yourself to atheists....

you think atheists are doomed because they haven't realised the truth and they think YOU'RE doomed because you haven't realised the truth...

this problem wouldn't arise if you let people who don't believe in God continue to not believe because WE don't believe in the hell concept and the more you go on about it the more thoroughly we feel like rejecting it.

didn't mean to be rude...just my opinion

You would lose a rigid, deluded, destructive and highly neurotic belief system. You would find joy in the very idea of free-thought and higher learning.

What you have lost is the ability to think rationally. Since this is the only thing that makes you better than the family cat, it is not something to be given up lightly.

As long as you have Jesus and keep your faith and hope in Him, you haven't lost a thing!
