I was told to ask everyone to please wear Red, tommorrow. To show Support for Our Troops in Harms way. Not only in Iraq. But anywhere that they are in danger. While Protecting This Country. [Their Country] Without the least bit of concern for their own Safety.
I don't like asking for Stars. But I do want this message to get out!! If you support Our Troops? Please show your Support in the form of wearing Red, on each and every Friday.
God Bless all who do. And thank God, for all of Our Brave Military.

BTW: This was a suggestion, from a Retired Vietnam Veteran. Who responded to one of my Questions earlier. I owe him my thanks. By passing this on to everyone that I can. Will you help?

Dick? Looks like your a part of the Minority, here. But that's cool. Be Proud. Talk to someone in the Military about your feelings.

At the VAMC where I work we have been doing this for a while and I can tell you the Vets do appreciate this show of support.
Whether or not you support th war these service members are there for us.
They don't make the decisions, heck I had no idea what was going on till back here.
They risk their lives each and every day even in 'non-combat' times & places Lockerbie, Achile lauro, Beirut to name a few.
If there is ever a situation servicemembers are killed first.
They make less than minimum wage when you consider they are often (@ work) around the clock & their families live below poverty often qualifing for food stamps.
They are and always have been the best our country has to offer.
every day we should thank a Servicemember or Veteran!

Hey Buzzard. Thank you again for your support of our troops all over the world. I will be wearing red every Friday til our troops are safely home. As for dickbush, you made your comment. You can thank God and our troops for being able to do that. And you should consider that if our brave men and women were not where they are now, the enemy might just be in your backyard. Are you brave enough to stand against those who would take your freedom. If you are then be brave enough to stand up for those who are protecting you. And thank you to all of you who have sons, daughters, husbands and wives and other loved ones over there in harms way. May God bless and keep each one of them. And Buzzard, God bless you for your courage.

I would love to wear red, but I'm afraid it isn't part of my fire department uniform. However, when the occasion arises and I find myself off on Fridays, I will wear red as I was once in the military and my brother-in-law is still actively serving.

I'm there, Buzzard.
And speaking of harms way ... my neighbor's son, a Marine, had his helmet strap cut by a bullet that narrowly missed him ... I'd say that IS harm's way, despite the protective equipment!
My love and admiration go to the troops that protect our freedom, and fight for the freedom of others.

Thank you *so* much for posting this!
I will proudly wear red tomorrow and on Fridays from now on.
God bless our troops, where ever they may be!
Well, at least Dick has an appropriate screen name. Hey, moron - our military has fought and died for *our* freedoms for over 230 years. Show a little respect for your betters.

Of course, Red Friday have been going on forever and ever since I heard about it, I always wear red on Friday to support our troops. My father, friends, and family are out there doing their job, this is the least I can do to help them out.
SUPPORT OUR TROOPS!!!
